Welcome to Christopher Hatton Primary School

Christopher Hatton

Welcome to Christopher Hatton Primary School website,
giving you a flavour of our school and how we put our values into action.

At Christopher Hatton, we are committed to working with parents to ensure the best for all our pupils.  Working together we can build each child's confidence by creating a happy atmosphere, sharing high expectations and ensuring everyone achieves their full potential, both academically and personally.  Children learn best when they feel safe to take on challenges, are interested and feel valued.

Our vision is to inspire all children with a love of learning. We want our
children to become outstanding future citizens who are resourceful,
resilient and responsible. These '3Rs' underpin our teaching, giving our
pupils the confidence, skills and attitudes to be successful lifelong achievers.

Our children represent our diverse local community and we value the varied contributions that everyone can make to our learning.  Children speak a wide array of languages, originate from many different countries and each brings their unique character to our school.  It is one of the features that makes Christopher Hatton a special place.

If, as parent of a pupil attending this school, you require a paper copy of the information on this website, we shall provide this free of charge

Introduced by news presenter Jon Snow, each class gave a very impactful presentation of the aspect of their environmental study. The affect has been to make a lot of people question their behaviours and make changes.

The children’s activism has had an impact on school policies too. In response to Y3’s call to reduce single use plastic we will be providing reusable drinking bottles to all children.

Year 4 told us all about the impact of food production and following their campaigning we will be introducing Meat Free Mondays to school lunch provision from September.

A very worrying and hard-hitting presentation was given by Year 6 about air pollution – a subject we are very aware of as an inner-city school.

Parent View - Share your views through Parent View

At Christopher Hatton we value your views. Parents and carers can give their views of our school at any time of the school year using an online questionnaire called Parent View.

Your views are important in helping inspectors make a decision about our school, and to help us know what is going well and what could be improved.
