School Improvements

We have been hard at work over the summer:

Playground

Our lower playground has had a makeover! The tarmac has been replaced with colourful soft-play using designs created with school council.

The children in KS2 have been working with artists from Artyface to create a fantastic jungle filled with exotic birds to enliven the covered areas. I am very impressed by the creativity and care they have shown in this project and the results are amazing.

The children are certainly enjoying using their new bright and colourful environment.

We would like to invite parents to the opening of the new lower playground on Thursday 2nd October at 3pm.  Jon Snow from Chanel 4 News will be cutting the ribbon.  There will be cakes, tea, music and fun.  Please come along!

New lighting

We have also had all of our lighting updated giving us energy saving lighting with projected savings of 6 TCo2 … or 640,000 cups of tea each year!!
